Backend & APIs
Application logic, integrations and services.
CygnaByte works with Go, Python, Laravel, Node.js and NestJS on the backend; React, Vue.js and Svelte on the frontend; and MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB for data.
Choose the pieces around the product requirements.
These are the technologies our team works with. Each project uses a focused selection, based on its existing codebase, workflows, integrations and maintenance needs.
Application logic, integrations and services.
Responsive product interfaces and web applications.
Data models that support the product workflow.
We can work across a complete application or focus on the layer your existing product needs.
Tell us about your codebase →We use Go (Golang), Python and Laravel for backend development. This work can include APIs, business logic, integrations, background tasks and AI-enabled features. For an existing product, we begin with the application’s architecture and conventions so new work fits the codebase. Laravel remains part of our PHP development capability alongside our Go and Python work.
Our JavaScript backend stack includes Node.js and NestJS. We can develop API endpoints, application services and integrations, or extend an existing backend. Request validation, authorization, error handling and tests form part of the implementation plan, with the precise architecture agreed around the workflow.
We work with React, Vue.js and Svelte to build product interfaces, dashboards, forms and customer-facing web applications. The interface should make the underlying workflow easy to follow, including loading states, validation, permissions and recovery from errors. When extending an application, we follow its existing component and design patterns.
Our database stack includes MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB. We review the existing data model, relationships, query patterns and operational requirements before recommending changes. Data migrations, indexes and application access rules need to be planned together. A new feature should work with the data structure and protect existing records.
Technology selection should account for how the application will be used and maintained. We discuss the existing stack, essential integrations, data requirements and expected workload before choosing an approach.
Define the first release, the user journeys and the systems it needs to connect to. Then choose a manageable stack for the product.
Review the current architecture, release process and tests. Add features using the conventions and capabilities already in place.
Connect models, retrieval or controlled workflows to your application’s permissions, data and interface.
